The health of our team and of all our clients is of the utmost importance to us. We have a number of higher risk people who come to our clinic on a daily basis for treatment. This includes pregnant women, young babies, toddlers and children, and people who are immunocompromised.

For these reasons we are asking to see your Vaccine Pass when you come in for your appointment. (If you do not have a pass you can still receive treatment – see below).  We also follow recommended infection prevention control measures, and transmission precaution measures for Covid-19.

We are trained in the practice of evidence-based treatment and we stand firmly on the side of science. We are trying to protect our vulnerable patients and staff, and their families. It is not our intention to discriminate against those who are not vaccinated. We are trying to keep everyone as safe as possible.

We are also doing everything we can to ensure we don’t have to close our clinic if there is a Covid-19 outbreak in our region.

Vaccine Passes

We are asking to see your Vaccine Pass when you come in for your appointment. We will make a note that we have seen it, and you won’t need to be asked again. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

If you have any concerns about being in a waiting room with others, we can arrange for you to come at a time when there are no other patients present.

If you do not have a Vaccine Pass

It is not our intention to prevent people who have not been vaccinated from seeking treatment. If you are unvaccinated we are able to either provide an online service via Telehealth, or we will arrange for you to come to the clinic at a time when there are no others in the clinic, and you will be seen in a different room.

You will also need to be seen by a therapist who does not have family members who are at high risk if they contract Covid-19.

Mask use

All people entering our clinic must wear a mask, including during their appointment. If you do not wish to wear a mask, please get in touch to discuss this before your appointment.

Physical distancing

Chairs are placed two metres apart in our reception area. We prefer that you come alone to your appointment, however we understand that at times you may like a support person or may need to bring a child with you. Please keep children beside you in the reception area.

Our staff

As per the government mandate, all health professionals and anyone who works on a site that provides a health service, must be fully vaccinated if they wish to see people face to face. You can be assured that all our staff are fully vaccinated, including reception and support staff.

Staff will be wearing a surgical mask at all times, and all surfaces are wiped between patients. Physical distancing is maintained as much as possible and regular hand hygiene is performed.

Screening

All patients are asked screening questions regarding Covid-19 symptoms or potential exposure when they receive their confirmation and reminder emails for appointments. They are also screened on arrival at the clinic.

We are very happy to talk to you if you have any questions or concerns. Please call us on 04 802 4225 or email info@pelvicphysio.co.nz
